What determines your faith?

Life experiences? Do you believe that your faith is strenghthened or weakened by what you experience day to day? Be careful! Many people today base their faith on what they encounter in their daily lives. It was a tough day at work, and my co-workers were bashing God. Am I swayed by their opinions, and now questioning my relationship with Him? Or am I rooted in His Word enough to know that those opinions are sadly wrong and completely against His character.

No, faith is NOT detetmined by our daily, life experiences. Faith comes, and develops by hearing, reading, and studying God’s Word. Romans 10:17 says it quite clearly, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Don’t allow the enemy of your soul to steal your joy. Know God more, and strengthen your faith, by digging into His Word.

One Response to “What determines your faith?”

  1. I agree. The bible tells us to run the race, but it does not say we will all finish first. The world tells us to grab all we can. I agree. We need to grab all the people we can and tell them about the Lord!! I may not be sucessful in the eyes of the world, nor be the best runner the Lord has, but I want to be faithful in what God has given me to be acoutable for. I will always belive He is in full control of everything around me, and I say Praise the LORD! What a beautiful day the Lord has made!
